Welcome to Adderbury Golf Society!
Celebrating our 26th year, Adderbury Golf Society is made up of a mix of local people living in Adderbury (near Banbury) and the surrounding area. We typically play nine fixtures each year between March and October (avoiding those chilly winter months!). During the golf season we typically hold one fixture per month. We’re not tied to a local golf club, so instead we arrange to play a different course each month that is located within approximately a one hour drive of Adderbury. Over the years we have played numerous courses around the Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Buckinghamshire. Each year we aim to play some new courses we’ve not visited before along with revisiting some old favourites.
We’re a civilised bunch, so each outing usually consists of tea/coffee and a bacon roll on arrival at the golf club, 18 holes of golf followed by a two or three-course meal where prize giving takes place. Prizes are awarded to the competition winner, runner-up, nearest the pin, nearest the pin in two and longest drive. We have around 30 members and a typical golf day consists of approximately 20 players.
We’re always looking for new members and guests to come along and join us for a good day out! If this sounds like you, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Your more than welcome to join us for a day out and see if its for you.
