Welcome to Adderbury Golf Society!
Formed in 1993, Adderbury Golf Society comprises of a mix of local people living in and around the north Oxfordshire village of Adderbury. Each year we play nine or ten fixtures between March and October (avoiding those muddy winter months!). Although many of us are members of local golf clubs, our society is independent. We play venues within an hour’s drive from home and over the years we’ve had the pleasure of playing dozens of courses across Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, and Buckinghamshire, including stunning venues like The Belfry and Woburn. Each year we aim to play some new courses we’ve not visited before along with revisiting some old favourites.
We’re a friendly bunch, and each outing usually consists of tea/coffee and breakfast on arrival at the golf club, 18 holes of golf followed by a meal and a prize-giving ceremony. Our events are sponsored by members and prizes are awarded to the competition winner, runner-up, third place, nearest the pin, nearest the pin in two, and longest drive. We currently have around 35 members with a wide range of abilities and a typical golf day consists of approximately 20-25 players.
We’re always looking for new members and guests are welcome to join us for a great day out!
