As most of you know, Members Day is where we pull out all the stops for a great day out at a top golf club and this year is no different. AGS members will be treated to 27 holes at the stunning Henley Golf Club. (It’s worth noting that this fixture is costing the society £79 per person, however as per usual the cost is subsidised by the society – so the cost for this Members only event is just £55 per person).
The format for the day will be to arrive at 8am for coffee and bacon rolls followed by a 9 hole team event starting at 9am. Following lunch (served at 12:30pm) we’ll head out for 18 holes single stableford at 1:30pm.
Dress code: Smart casual wear is acceptable in the Lounge and Dining Rooms. Track suits, T-shirts and training shoes however, are not acceptable.
What the club says: This picturesque course is situated on the hillside overlooking the historic town of Henley-in-Arden and provides a fair test to all handicappers. The local scenery has been encapsulated beautifully to create a track that uses undulating fairways, fast greens and water features to challenge golfers. With wide fairways you’re able to go for it off the tee, but placement is key for your approach shot.
